Yvonne Holland Athy, 85,  peaceful departed this life on Friday, November 17 2023 at her resident in Fluvanna County. She was born in Louisa County on January 6, 1938 to the late George and Barbara Holland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Athy and daughter, Sherry Athy; her brothers, Russell, Robert, George, Roy, Marshall and Percy Holland and her sisters Shirley Cook and Barbara Jean Clark.

Yvonne leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Cynthia Athy of Fluvanna County; two sons, John (Debra) and Carl Athy of Louisa, VA; three grandsons, Maurice Athy of Fluvanna, VA, Jonathan and Javon of Louisa VA; one granddaughter, Tiffany Athy of Louisa VA; one sister, Marion Scott of Gordonsville, VA; sister in laws, Linda Brown of Louisa VA, Ruth Ragland, Earnestine Athy, Claudette Holland, Catherine Morris of Goochland, VA, Claretta Cowand of Chesterfield, VA and Jean Athy of Philadelphia, PA. She also leaves behind a lovely host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, November 24, 2023 in The Sun Chapel @ D.D. Watson. Interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail (Rt. 29), Charlottesville, Virginia, 22911.
