Wilson Park Moody, Jr. was born in Louisa, Virginia on March 22, 1951 to the late Wilson P. Moody Sr. and Annie J. Moody. He peacefully departed this life Thursday, August 6, 2015 in Orange, Virginia.

Wilson graduated from Louisa Coun ty High School in 1970. He was employed by Dominion Virginia Power. In recent years, he also worked for D.Z. Atlantic as a Nuclear QC Inspector which afforded him the opportunity to work throughout the United States. On August 4, 1972, he was joined in holy matrimony to Shirley Coleman. To this union two children were born.

He was a member of the Temple of Deliverance Holy Church of God, where he was baptized in the name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Ghost . Wilson was a former trustee, church treasurer, and served faithfully on the deacon board. He was also a member of the Moody Specials, and was a founding member of the Young Adult Choir. Wilson, affectionately known as "June", enjoyed traveling, collecting hats, and being entertained at family functions. June was loved by all who knew him and will be sorely missed.

Wilson was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest L. Moody and Wilfred J. Moody; and a sister-in-law, Annie P. Moody.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Shirley C. Moody of Orange, Virginia; a daughter, Jennifer A. Moody of Dallas, Texas; a son, Wilson P. Moody, III (Amber) of Loudon Virginia; two grandchildren, Tyson and Raven Moody of Loudon, Virginia; one sister, Ruby Moody of Temple Hills, Maryland; and one aunt, Mary Moss of Washington, D.C.. H e is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Gary Coleman (Lisa) and Gregory Coleman (Juliet); four sisters-in-law, Barbara Campbell, Marieta Carter (George); Kathy Adams (Harold); Janice Bullock and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Temple of Deliverance(HCOG) 5756 Zachary Taylor Highway Mineral, Virginia 23117 with Elder Lynn W. Beanum,Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Coleman Family Cemetery.
