Willis Melvin Dickerson, 82 of Louisa, formerly of Bumpass, Virginia died on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia .

Born Wednesday, June 30, 1937 in Washington, D. C., he was the son of the late John Howard Dickerson and the late Myrtle Jackson Dickerson.

He was a member of Mt Hope Baptist Church.

Surviving are brother, Alton Dickerson.

He was predeceased by brother, Frank Albert Dickerson, and sister, Ruth Freeman.

Viewing will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 in the Sun Chapel at D. D. Watson, Louisa and on Saturday, morning at the church from 9:30-11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Mt. Hope Baptist Church 5502 Paynes Mill Road Bumpass, Virginia 23024 with Rev. Dr. Monroe L. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery.
