Willie Johnson Jackson, Sr., departed this life on October 6, 2022. He was born on October 13, 1948 to the late Patrick M. Jackson and Mary Ann Jackson. Willie accepted Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Mt. Hope Baptist Church until his health declined.

He was married to the late Shirley Thomas and from this union three children were born, Barbara, Brenda and
Willie, Jr. and one step-daughter, Jackie. Willie was a devoted father and grandfather.

In addition to his parents and wife, Willie was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Luke, Jame, John and
Jeremiah and his sisters, Martha and Virginia. Willie's hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing the piano. He worked in a sawmill and for the Henrico County Utility Department.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted sister, Mary Johnson and her husband, James; sister, Frane; three brothers, Daniel, Henry and Isreal; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two devoted nephews, Chris Jackson and Daniel Jr.; four brothers-in law, James Thomas, Jerry Thomas (Cheryl), Calvin Thomas (Rose) and Cecil Thomas (Nicole); six sisters-in-law, Gloria Jackson, Gladys Thomas, Alice
Thomas, Cecelia Woodson (Henry), Doris Thomas, Lorita Morris (Darryl) and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
