Willie Mae Hunter, of Louisa, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the age of 73.
Born March 30, 1948 , she was a longtime resident of Louisa . She worked at Woolfolk Manufacturing for 30 years and was an Avon representative for over 35 years. She became one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1969 and was an active member of the local congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Gordonsville, VA.
She was a dedicated wife and mother and enjoyed cooking, hosting parties, a nd vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC with family and friends. She especially valued spending time with her beloved h usband of 56 years, Howard L. Hunter, Sr.; six children, nine grandchildren, three great - grandchildren and many dear friends. She will always be remembered for her k ind and giving spirit, beautiful smile, and home cooked meals.
She was preceded in death by her father,
Lewis Anderson; mother, Marion Anderson; siblings,
Jack Anderson, Arthur Anderson, Jessie Anderson, and Lillie Jones.
She is survived by her husband, Howard L. Hunter, Sr., her brothers;

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 20 21, via Zoom videoconferencing.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, administrators and staff at Martha Jefferson Hospital, UVA Medical Center, Fresenius Kidney Care Louisa, and Hospice of the Piedmont, for the professionalism, expertise, ca re, and support during her illness.
