"To everything there is a season and time to every purpose under the heaven, a time to
be born, and a time to die," Ecclesiastes 3:1-2.

On Friday, April 17, 2015, God saw fit to call Brother William C. Coleman from our
midst.

William was born on January 18, 1935 in Mineral, Virginia
He was the fifth child of the late James U. Coleman and Beatrice
Coleman.

He joined the St. John Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Rev. Turner. In
August of 1951, William left his home to live with his last Aunt, Liza Jackson in
Allentown, PA. After being there a while, he decided to visit his relatives in
Washington, D.C. to be closer to home. He worked as a truck helper and driver until

November 1956, in which he was drafted in the Ll.S, Military. After basic training, he
was sent to Germany for one year, afterwards received an honorable discharge.

William came back to Washington, D.C to live, joined New Southern Rock Baptist Church, and started working at his previous place of employment. He was blessed by Almighty God to be hired by the Federal Government, where he retired August 20,1993 as a warehouse foreman.

William was preceded in death by his brothers: Lawson, Walter, Ray, and Henry; also
preceded in death by his sisters: Ruth and Rachel.

He leaves a sister, Mary L. Coleman to cherish his memory of Virginia Beach, Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Many thanks to his four close cousins: Bishop Frank Jackson, Ms. Frances
Leonard, Ms. Edna Vernell Little and Tally Wynn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at St. John Baptist Church Mineral, VA; with Rev. Jerry Coleman officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.
