Wendell Mercer Mallory
, born February 24, 1959, transitioned to heavenly rest on Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was the son of the late Cleveland E. Mallory and Ida B Johnson. Wendell made a confession of faith in Jesus Christ at the Mount Garland Baptist Church, Bumpass Va. He is a 1978 graduate of Louisa County High School in Mineral, Va. He served his country as a member of the United States Air Force for fifteen years, and was honorably discharged.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Jo-Mona; daughter Jo-Dell Thornton (Deon), mother, Ida B. Johnson; granddaughters, Ziya and A'Niyrea; grandson, King; sisters, Yvonne Jackson, MozelleRobinson (Welford), Miranda Mallory; brothers, Cecil Mallory, Reverend Cleveland Mallory (Elbertanna), James Mallory, Willie Johnson, Woodrow Johnson (Thelma), and Ferguson Johnson; mother-in-law, Shirley Wynn; sisters-in-law, Sibyl Wynn and Jewel Wynn; brother-in-law, Joseph Wynn, Jr.; aunts, Pearl Graves (devoted), Sally Tyler, Adele Houchens; uncle, Ben Thomas, God- Daughter Lartoija Banks and Jacqueline Clark and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held noon Saturday, July 8, 2017 at The Sun Chapel, D. D. Watson Mortician, Louisa, with Rev. Cleveland Mallory officiating.
