Wade Douglas Dickerson was born on September 8, 1958, to the late Horace Dickerson and Elsie B. Henson Dickerson of Louisa, Virginia. Wade was called home on Monday, February 24, 2025, at his residence. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend, known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith.

At a young age, Wade accepted Christ and became a member of Foster Creek Baptist Church in Louisa, Virginia. Later in life, he joined Rising Sun Baptist Church in Mineral, Virginia, where he served faithfully as an usher and a dedicated member of the male chorus. His service to the church and his love for gospel music reflected his deep faith and compassionate heart.

Wade loved cars, being a DJ, and the Washington Commanders, even if they didn't make it to the Superbowl. He was employed for a number of years at Phillips, Chips Lumber Yard, and on a chicken farm.

Wade was preceded in death by his loving parents, Horace Dickerson and Elise B. Henson Dickerson; his brothers, Stanley (Lee) Dickerson and James (Jim) Dickerson; and his sisters, Elise Mae Shelton, Betty Jean Dickerson, and Christine Duton.

Wade leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Emily V. Ragland and Mildred Ann Seaberry of Louisa, Virginia; his brother, John Dickerson (Carrie) of Cape Charles, Virginia, and extra brother, Kelvin Hackney of Louisa, Virginia. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, his devoted caregiver, Shawn Shelton, devoted friends,  Kenneth Russell and Joe Bright, and many dear friends who will forever carry his love and legacy in their hearts.

Wade's presence brought warmth and joy to those around him, and his faith-filled life serves as an inspiration to all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to live on in the love and lives he touched.

To the Dickerson family, we at  D. D. Watson offer our most sincere sympathy and condolences. Our prayer continues to be that your abiding faith in God will lend to you a measure of comfort that will strengthen and sustain you during your time of sorrow.
