Virginia F. Fountain, 99 years, peacefully departed her earthly dwelling for her new home in Heaven on July 25, 2017.

She was born on May 15, 1918 to the late Frank Quarles and Rosa Belle Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fountain; three children that she raided, Lula J. Grady, Earline Grady and Allen Fountain; a sister, Frances Carter and a brother, Edward Quarles.

Virginia, affectionately known as "Ginia" to her family and loved ones, was educated in the Louisa County School system and grew up on the family farm. At a young age, she accepted Christ and was baptized at Springfield Baptist Church located in Troy, Virginia.

As a young woman, she worked as a housekeeper and later at Louisa Factory until retirement. Gina loved to cook and always had an extra child or adult at her dinner table. Her home was always opened for family and friends who needed a place to lay their head, a nourishing meal, and encouragement to stay on course in life. She delighted in taking care of her family and their happiness was her pleasure.

Remaining to cherish her memories are George R. Grady, Sr., who was like a son to her; her granddaughter, Norma G. Brown; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a special great-granddaughter, Ashley Freeman, who she loved with all her heart; niece, Joan Winston of Upper Marlboro, Maryland; cousin, Alex Fountain; neighbors, Margaret Leonard and Melton Wrenn; Jean Wynn, a faithful visitor; Angie Anderson, who assisted her with household chores and finances; June Epps, who groomed her yard; and other loving neighbors and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
