Viola Beatrice(Sis) Whalen, 80 of Louisa, VA departed this life on Saturday, May 7, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Whalen, son Nathaniel Whalen, and parents John D. and Stella Harris.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, four daughters: Vanessa Robinson, Janice Hackney (Marvin), Caroline Harris (Wilbert), and Doris Henson; four sons, James E. (Joanne), Joseph, John (Gail), and Gregory (Rosetta) Whalen; sister, Naomi Graves; two brothers, John (Irene) and J. Floyd (Janette) Harris and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 12,2016 from noon to 7 p.m. at The Sun Chapel D. D. Watson Louisa.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2 P.M. at Zion Travelers Baptist Church, 3662 Roundabout Road Louisa, VA 23093 with Rev. Gilbert Bates officiating and Dr. Monroe Smith, eulogist. Interment will follow in Church Cemetery.
