Vincent Wendell Bowles departed his life suddenly at the age of forty-six on Sunday, June 28, 2009.
Wendell was born, August 26, 1962 to Geraldine and Ronald Tyler.
Wendell joined The Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He received his education in the Goochland County Public Schools after which he traveled to New York and entered the the job force. Upon returning to Goochland, he worked several jobs, the last being employed by Griffith Construction. Recently, Wendell rededicated his life and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine and Ronald Tyler. He leaves to mourn, one daughter, Crystal Johnson; two sisters, Melissa Tyler of Goochland, VA and Ardena Cooke of Louisa, VA; five brothers, Kenneth Tyler, Richard Bowles, Jerry Pannell, Donald Bowles, of Goochland, VA and George Pannell, Jr. of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren, Ebony, Jayda and Yasmine; one aunt, three uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. His memory will also be cherished by devoted friends, Clarence (Boo) Nelson, Early Miles, Herbert Moore, Tommy Hawk, Jerome Tyler, Jr., Corey Bowles and Kim Tyler.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2009 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Columbia, VA with the Rev. Timothy I. Jackson, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
