Venus Marie Wingfield was born December 22 1949 in Richmond, Virginia the daughter of the late Eddie and Lucy Wingfield. God sent his Angels for her on Saturday morning, August 13, 2022 at her home in Louisa, Virginia. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her foster parents, William Alfred and Pauline Beatrice Coles; her long time devoted loving friend and the father of her child, Richard Lee Anderson; six siblings: two brothers, Paul Coles and Samuel Winston; four sisters, Geraldine Wingfield, Marian Harris, Ester Johnson, and Mildred "Arlene" Coles -Anderson; a foster sister, Sarah Thaniel; five nieces, Gail Harris, Odessa Harris, Audrey Dandridge, Cheryl Harris and Latina Trice.

Venus attended Louisa County Public Schools. After high school, she worked several jobs. She worked for several Day Care Centers and at Holly Farms which is now named Tyson in Hanover, Virginia. After working over ten years at Tyson, she had to retire due to a disability.

She accepted Christ and was baptized at Mt Olivet Baptist Church in 1963 under the leadership of the Late Reverend R.J. Robertson. Venus loved going to church and to various programs at the church, especially singing programs. Her favorite group was none other than the Coles Sisters. She also loved Brother James Shelton and his singing groups.

She loved spending time with her family. The joy of her life was her granddaughter, Jamila Anderson. She enjoyed helping others, cooking, driving, doing word search puzzles and socializing with her community ladies.

Venus leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted loving son, Bryant Anderson; a loving granddaughter, Jamila Anderson; four sisters, Mary Holman (Larry) of Hanover, Florence Trice and Joyce Coles Holt of Montpelier, and Shirley Johnson of Mineral, Virginia; three brothers, David, Percy, and Eddie Wingfield of Richmond, Virginia; six nieces; one devoted, Leatrice Pace; nine nephews; one devoted friend, Barbara J. Dandridge and a host of other relatives and friends, .
