Thomas J. Harris entered eternal rest on May 7, 2022.

He was born July 4, 1927 to the late Deacon Charlie S. and Deaconess Jane Harris.

In addition to his wife, Mattie, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Sidney, Frank, infant Joseph, John Eric, his twin George, and Andrew; sisters, Vernetta Harris and Dorothy Trice; nephews, Charles Trice and Edward Harris and nieces, Vanessa Gail, Odessa and Cheryl Harris.

Accepting Christ as his Savior early in life, Thomas joined the Ebenezer Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Reverend P.H. West. A faithful member, he served as a Trustee & member and president of the Senior Choir and attended Sunday School.

He is survived by his sisters, Eva Shelton and Nan Johnson; a great number of nieces, nephews, cousins and the Ebenezer Church Family.

Thomas was a beloved uncle and brother, who never hesitated to give us his opinion, but still made us laugh. The family and church will miss him.
