Thomas Michael Carter, 68, of Troy, Virginia passed into eternal peace on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Thomas was born on April 6, 1953 to Phillip and Viola Carter.

He joined Springfield Baptist Church at an early age.

He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Phillip Carter, Sr. and Viola Carter; his sisters, Joanne Creasy, Geraldine Jackson and Violetta Carter; brothers, Henry Joseph Carter, Sr., Theodore Carter, James Carter and Phillip Carter, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Thomas Washington of Louisa, VA; three brothers, Clifford Carter (Julia), of Palmyra, VA; Stanley Carter of Troy, VA: and Cornelius Carter of Troy, VA; four sisters, Helen Brown of Cleveland, OH, Barbara Pendleton of Keswick, VA, Teresa Carter (Odell) of Louisa, Va: and Abigail Martin (Orlando) of Troy, VA; two aunts, Ruth Wells of Troy, VA and Jamie Mills of Charlottesville, VA and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery; Minster Joyce M. Groomes, officiating.
