A tribute of Honor and Love
Theresa McDonald was born on May 31,1956, in Washington, D.C. She was the fourth of six children born to Leroy Wallace and Betty Lou Harris. Theresa received her formal education through the D.C. Public School system. She was employed with Architecture of Washington, D.C.
Theresa was affectionately known as "Bird" to friends and family. Theresa was one who embodied qualities of love, kindness, and selflessness, particularly within her family.
Theresa was deeply dedicated to her family, showing generosity and unwavering kindness towards others. She prioritized the well-being of those whom she loved. She was known for nurturing and caring for those around her. Theresa valued family gatherings and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Her enjoyment of family functions highlights her deep connection to her friends and family showing her commitment to creating meaningful memories with them. She was a central figure in the family & #39,s lives. She always handled situations with humor and grace. Her ability to find human in any circumstances reflects her resilient and loving nature.
Theresa faith was a guiding force in her life. Theresa accepted Christ as her savior at Philippi Christian Church of Mineral, VA where she served as a member.
On July 15, 2024, Theresa peacefully departed leaving a void that would be extremely felt by her children, Dameca Harris, Larry Harris, Monta McDonald, and Shameca McDonald.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Wallace and Betty Lou Harris, and brothers, Wallace Harris, Calvin Harris, and Reginald Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Anthony McDonald; sister, Gwendolyn Winn; brother, Kenneth Harris; aunt, Grace Hooker; uncle, Earnest Winston; twelve grandchildren, Alexus, Labrea, Ife, Delonte, Monte Jr, Anthony, Kyree, Deandre, Nasir, Cordia, Zaevier, and Jase; two bonus grandchildren, Gabriel and Saint; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She also leaves to cherish a special friend, Freeman Pace.
Theresa will be fondly remembered for her caring spirit and humor that she brought to every family gathering. Her legacy of love and joy will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her. May she rest in eternal peace. She will truly be missed.
