Charlottesville - Chenscine James is deeply saddened to announce the passing of her loving sister, Taria Melissa James , affectionately known as "TI TI Not to be confused with TEE TEE LOL" to many and "Missy" to others, on August 12, 2024. Born in Welch, W.Va, USA on May 11, 1973, Taria spent her life loving her family, reading books, and working on puzzles. She was a woman of courage and laughter, whose love and thoughtfulness were as tangible as they were infinite.

Taria was never one to let life's hardships define her. Despite never having been employed, she found profound fulfillment in her role as a mother. Her children, Jacquez and Zanaria, were her world, and she was theirs. As the Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw once said, "Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself." Taria created a life of love, laughter, and learning for her children, instilling in them the same courage and thoughtfulness that she carried within her.

Taria lived in Charlottesville, Virginia for 30 years, making her home a haven of love and laughter. It was a place where everyone was welcome, and where everyone left feeling better than when they arrived. Her wit and humor were infectious, and she had a knack for making everyone around her feel special and loved. As the American author Mark Twain once said, "The secret of getting ahead is getting started." Taria got started every day with a smile on her face and love in her heart, igniting the world around her with her radiant spirit.

Taria is survived by her mother, Karen James, her children, Jacquez and Zanaria James, and her siblings, Frederick, Brian, Chenscine James and Madeline James. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Madeline and Fred James. Her family, friends, and all who knew her will miss her deeply, but they will cherish the memories they made with her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved, and in the laughter and love she shared with the world.
