Shirley Evon Johnson entered this earthly home in Louisa County, Virginia on October 17, 1953. Shirley was born to the late Shirley Ann Johnson and the late Rodney Jack Mickens. Shirley transitioned to begin her eternal rest on January 4, 2025, at her home.

She attended the public schools of Louisa County and was loved by all who knew her. She was a caregiver for family members. She thoroughly loved watching television, listening to gospel music ,and God's preached Word.

Shirley loved music and entertaining her friends and family. She was always cooking and having people over when her health allowed.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Constance Johnson.

Left to continue this journey and to cherish Shirley's precious memories are her daughters, Lisa Anderson (Tony) and Michelle Johnson; her sister, Barbara Shelton; brothers, Rodney Mickens, Jr. and "Sweat Pea"  Mickens; five grandchildren, Richard Tomes, Jr., Orlando Tomes, Adrian Johnson, Rychelle Johnson, and Queena Johnson;  great-grandchildren, Zai'ren McCauley and Cameron Johnson; her niece, Sherelle Smith;  best friends, Barbara Smith, Geraldine Jasper, and Brenda Anderson and a host of other relatives and friends.
