With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Sheta Moneta Tinsley, a compassionate and loving soul who was born on November 20, 1976, in Charlottesville, VA, and was called to be with the Lord on April 20, 2024. Sheta was a beacon of light and hope to everyone who knew her. Her unwavering dedication to her family and her faith were the pillars of her life, and she strived to ensure that her loved ones were always surrounded by love, care, and happiness.

Sheta's loyalty to her friends and family was unparalleled, and her zest for life was truly contagious. She found great joy in playing bingo, cooking mouth-watering meals, and creating cherished memories with her family, which was her greatest passion. Sheta was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church from a young age, where she touched many lives with her kindness and generosity.

Sheta was preceded in death by her brother, Nevon Hunter, and her sons, Angel and Jaden Martin. Sheta is survived by her devoted husband, Vincent Tinsley, and children, Kiara Grooms, Jayda Tinsley, Chad Grooms Jr., Dahris Tinsley, and Darien Tinsley. She also leaves behind her parents, Hosea Johnson and Darlene Davis, brothers Demont Davis (Sherry), Teddy Hunter (Nene), Hose Mallory, sister in laws Lisa Athey, Penny Athey, and Jameka Smith, Grandmother Deloris Johnson, an a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

In the comforting words of Matthew 5:4, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Sheta's spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared, and she will be deeply missed but forever remembered. We take comfort in knowing that she is resting in the arms of our Savior and that her love will continue to guide us.
