Sherman Allen "Squeeky" Talley, 51, departed this world peacefully on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital Fredericksburg, Virginia. Sherman was born June 25, 1958 in Mineral, Virginia to Herbert and Lucy Talley of Mineral, Virginia. He was preceded in death by a sister Shirley Ann Talley Johnson. He is survived by his parents Herbert and Lucy Talley; two sisters Charlotte and Sheree Talley of Mineral, Virginia, five brothers Herbert Lee and wife Juanita of Spotsylvania, Herman F. and David L. Talley of Mineral, Virginia, Therman G. and wife Susie of Spotsylvania, Corey L and wife Stacey of Fredericksburg. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. A devoted girlfriend Barbara Parker and a step son Jay Parker that he loved dearly. Sherman joined Jerusalem Baptist Church at an early age. He attended the Louisa County Public Schools. He worked as a sawmill worker for Douglas Johnson until is death.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Branch Fork Baptist Church 6930 Stubbs Bridge Road Spotsylvania County. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 3, 2009 at Branch Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. Virginia Farmer officiating. Interment will will in Jerusalem Baptist Church 608 Mansfield Road Mineral.
