Sherisa Makida Veney, 25, of Louisa, VA drifted into the arms of the most High on June 26, 2008 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a life-long battle with an unfortunate illness. Sherisa, better known as ReeRee was born in Charlottesville, VA on November 24, 1982. Sherisa joined the Zion Travelers Baptist Church at a young age and attended until her health began to fail. While attending grade school Sherisa was a very bright child and enjoyed her studies. She later graduated from Louisa County High School in June of 2002. She then went on to attend a technical school in Charlottesville, VA. Sherisa enjoyed making others laugh, music and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Mae Veney of Louisa, VA and her father Nathan Seaberry of Louisa, VA; her godmother and aunt Karen Veney of Kents Store, VA; a sister, Shameka Veney of Charlottesville, VA; a brother, Yah Yah Veney and his wife Lindsey of Louisa, VA; grandparents, Mildred Veney and Beulah Morris, both of Louisa, VA; three nieces, three nephews and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her grandfathers, James Seaberry, Sr. and William Veney, Sr. preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2008 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church 3662 Roundabout Road, Louisa, Virginia 23093 with the Reverend Gilbert Bates officiating. Interment will follow in the church yard cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the University of Virginia Hospital, Roanoke Memorial Hospital and the Avante Nursing Home for all of the exceptional care given. We also give thanks to all of the family and friends that have supported us in this time of grief.
