On Tuesday, December 13, 2022 Shelia Jones Coleman passed away peacefully at the Monroe Health & Rehabilitation Center in Charlottesville, VA.

Born to Margaret Ann & Herbert Jones on July 3, 1967 in Louisa, Virginia, Shelia was the oldest of their two children. Educated in the Louisa County Public School system, Shelia graduated high school in 1985. With a desire for helping others, she entered the workforce directly after graduation as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Shelia eventually discovered that nursing was her passion and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Though she and Jerald met in the early 1990's, it wasn't until 1996 that the two married. Shelia settled into her nursing career and spent decades working private duty cases and in facilities throughout the surrounding counties until her illness in 2009.

Shelia was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Ann and Herbert Jones, and her mother-in-law, Celia W. Coleman.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her husband of 26 years Jerald Coleman of Charlottesville, VA; her brother and sister-in-law, Patrick and Chris of Louisa, VA; godbrother, Ryan Jackson of Louisa, VA; three aunts, Henrietta Evans of Washington, DC, Shirley Thurston of Philadelphia, PA, and Marilyn J. Woodfolk of Keswick , VA; eight siblings through marriage, Lionel Wood, Vernon Wood (Rebecca), James Coleman Jr, Mary Coleman, Joslyn Shelton, Charles Coleman, Patrice Jackson (Vernon) andJean Gaines and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
