Sharon (Quarles) Hill, long-time resident of Pound Ridge, New York, died on October 11, 2022, at the age of sixty-five surrounded by her family.

Sharon loved music, Black art, and never missed watching an Ohio State Football game or a University of Maryland Basketball game. She was a fiercely passionate and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. After graduating from Howard University in 1979, she married Willard Isaac Hill, Jr. and worked in the financial services industry as an HR professional. Together they had two daughters, Lauren and Kimbreley and one son, Willard III (Bryant). They loved and supported each other for forty-three years, raising their children, traveling, and living by the scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-7. Embracing love is patient, kind and always perseveres.

A true child of God – Sharon's warmth and kindness was displayed to everyone she met, and she truly never met a stranger. After many years as a member, she served as an ordained Deacon at First Presbyterian Church in Stamford, CT, for three years.

Born on May 7, 1957, in Louisa, Virginia to the late Raymond Clyde Quarles and Theola Mae Scott Quarles, she was preceded in death by her brother, Therod Clyde Quarles. Her nephew, Dominique Baskfield, died shortly after Sharon on the same day. Sharon graduated from Louisa County High School where she was Captain of the Cheerleading Squad and where she reigned as Homecoming Queen during her senior year.

Sharon leaves her family with beautiful memories: her husband, Willard I Hill, Jr.; her daughters Lauren Hill (Troy Perry), Kimbreley Hill; her son Bryant Hill; her sisters Sandra Quarles Ellis and Corliss Baskfield Holmes; three aunts Audrey Perkins, Leona Johnson, and Elissa Scott; niece Erika Ellis Allen (Austin); nephews, Damond Baskfield and Jaison Ellis (Jenna); as well as great nieces and nephews, cousins, and devoted friends.

Her joy, love, and light will be forever missed by her loved ones.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. II Timothy 4:7
