Sarah E. Bradshaw was born to the late Robert Bruce and Rosa L. Fowler of Fluvanna VA, on April 30, 1927. She joined the Byrd Grove Baptist Church at an early age. Graduated from Hollywood School and S.C Abrams High School.

Sarah was united in marriage to Samuel J. White. From that union, she birthed 5 children. Later she worked in the Dickerson Nursing Home as a cook and nurse's aide. Then moved to Washington D.C. in 1955 and worked at the Manhattan Laundry for 6 years.

Sarah returned home in 1961 and married Overten Bradshaw of Louisa, VA. She joined County Line Church as a dedicated member. Sarah loved to sing, especially with the Evangelistic and combine choir, until her voice and walking became a problem.  Her other hobbies included sewing, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Sarah is predeceased by husband Overton Bradshaw, one daughter Mary and one son Robert, as well as four brothers and three sisters. She leaves to cherish memories; daughter Rosa and son-in-law Hugh Jackson of NJ, son John White of Bremo Bluff VA, stepchildren Leroy and Irean of MD. In addition, 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
