Ruth J. Mickens Johnson, 91, of Mineral, Va., died Sunday, July 4, 2010 at Parham Health Care & Rehab Center
Richmond, Va.
Born March 22, 1919 to the late Motee Mickens and Jennie Anderson Mickens, she grew up in Louisa
County, Va, and attended Louisa County Public Schools.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Arthur Lee Johnson.
Ruth is survived by her son James Johnson and wife Mary of Mineral, Va; one daughter Loretta Jackson and husband Lawrence
of Bumpass, Va; one brother Phil Mickens; one sister Bernice Stanley; nine grandchildren and a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church
17520 Jefferson Highway Montpelier, Va with Rev. Geraldine Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in New Line Baptist Church Cemetery,
4876 New Line Road Gum Spring, Va.
