Russell Wilbert Hughes, 79, of Louisa, VA was born December 15, 1933 to the late Bernie and Lydia Hughes. Russell was peacefully called home on Monday morning, April 22, 2013.

Russell joined County Line Baptist Church at an early age. He worked at Dominion Power in Mineral, VA for many years until he retired. Russell was a devoted husband and loving father; always caring for his family.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a faithful, devoted wife: Barbara Jean Hughes whom he loved, son, Christopher Russell Hughes; daughter, Letonia Hughes; three grandchildren, Antonio, Devon and Rico; three brothers, Robert (Annie) Goochland, VA, David (Jeanette), Charlottesville, VA, and Bernie Jr. of Louisa, VA; two sisters, Bertha Harris and Mildred Veney, both of Louisa, VA; one aunt, Mabel Timberlake, Kents Store, VA; two uncles, Jessie Timberlake, Lynchburg, VA and Walter Timberlake, Detroit, Michigan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at County Line Baptist Church, 4070 County Line Road, Kents Store, Virginia; Deacon Sherman Ware, officiating, Reverend James Graves, eulogist.
