Rosa Belle Dandridge Brown entered into eternal rest on June 9, 2018 at her home in Mineral, VA. She was born on October 25, 1926, the fifth child of thirteen born to Archer Fleming Dandridge and Mary Logan Dandridge.

Rosa attended the Louisa County Public Schools. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ and joined the New Line Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Patrick West. Later, to secure better employment she moved to Philadelphia, PA.  She then attended Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church and later joined Canaan Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Gus Roman.

She was employed by Holland Laundry, Crosstown Cleaners, and worked as a cook for Crittenden Day Care Center until she retired and moved back to Virginia built a home on the home land. Not wanting to be idle, she worked at the MACA Rural Outreach thrift store in Louisa and was a custodian for the Dominion Pallet Company.

Rosa received many accolades, among which were: Letter from the City of Philadelphia for Retirement, Outstanding Performance Certificate from the Crittenden Day Care Center and an Appreciation Award from New Line Baptist Church

When she returned to Virginia, she reunited with the New Line Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor J.R. Coney. She attended until her health began to fail.

Among Rosa's many interests were: being a caregiver, cooking for family and friends, flower gardening, thrift store shopping, yard sales, and working in her puzzle books.

She loved her family and was always there to help someone in need. She would take a family member into her home to help them.  She was like a mother to so many. Spreading her love at home and everywhere she went.

Rosa leaves to cherish the memories, three sisters, Ruth Dandridge, Vernel Dandridge and Mary Matthews, all of Philadelphia, PA.; one brother-in-law, Mervin Matthews; a nephew, Billy Dandridge (Arroka) that she reared as a son; three sisters-in-law, Iola Dandridge of Detroit, Michigan, Gloria Dandridge of Mineral, VA and Mary Dandridge of Richmond, VA. a very special friend, Rosie Hankins of Philadelphia, PA and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at New Line Baptist Church 4876 New line Road Gum Spring, Virginia 23065.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
