Ricky Darnell Hunter was born on May 19, 1960 in Louisa County, Virginia.  He was the son of the late George Hunter and Mary Hunter.

Ricky attended the public schools of Louisa County and was employed as a landscaper.   He loved Chips-Ahoy cookies (in the blue package), fried chicken and shrimp.  He was an avid Chicago Bulls fan and his favorite color was blue.  Ricky loved fixing cars and could easily diagnose most mechanical issues.

Ricky professed a belief in Jesus as his personal Savior and was baptized and joined the Rising Sun Baptist Church under the pastoral leadership of the late Reverend John L. Tyler.  Ricky continued his love for church when away from home and could be found in service when opportunity presented itself.

In addition to his father, Ricky was predeceased by his sister, JoAnn Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his mother:  Mary Hunter;  his daughter:  Chrishawna Hunter;  three brothers:  Harold Hunter, Kernel Lee Hunter, and Wayne Hunter;  three sisters:  Loretta Davis, Gail Horton, and Mary Ann Shelton (Sammie);  three grandchildren:  Noah Hunter, Aiden Hunter, and Caylie Hunter;  his uncle:  Lester Hunter (Shirley);  devoted and special nieces:  Shelly Hunter and Chrissy Rush;   a close friend:  Rodney Johnson;   and a host of other family members and friends.
