Richard Miles Hawthrone, Jr., 41 of Hopewell,VA born November 7, 1971 departed this life on Friday, April 26, 2013 at his home.
Richard was member of Evergreen Baptist Church and a graduate of Fluvanna High School.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Miles Hawthorne, Sr. and grandfathers, Joseph Young and Lee Hawthorne.
He leaves to cherish his memories,his mother, Marie Hawthorne of Hopewell, VA; grandmothers, Margaret Young and Rosetta Hawthorne of Palmyra; one brother, Rafael Johnson and fiance, Stephanie Downey; two sisters, Sarah Johnson of Hopewell and Ashley Hawthorne of Palmyra; three nephews, three nieces, six uncles, eight aunts and a host of cousins and friends.
Richard had a heart of gold and only wanted to be there anyway he could for his family. He will forever be in our hearts. We know that he is no longer here with us in the flesh, but will forever be our guardian angel. To the world, he may have been just a person, but to his family, he was the world.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at New Fork Baptist Church, Palmyra, VA with the Reverend Samuel Woodson, officiating.
