Richard Lee Anderson, 58 of Mineral, Virginia died on Monday, April 1, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, Virginia .
Born Friday, January 21, 1955 in Louisa, Virginia , he was the son of the late Melton Mallory and the late Angie Anderson Mallory.
He attended and was employed by Louisa County Public School System until he became disabled.
Richard also worked for Wilton Construction, Holly Farms,Inc. and Tri-Dim.
Richard joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Joseph Hayden. He was a member of the young adult choir of Louisa County under the direction of the late James B. Harris.
Richard leaves to cherish his memories a loving son, Bryant Anderson; a devoted companion, Venus Wingfield and granddaughter, Jamila Anderson, all of Mineral, VA; brother, Donald Anderson and wife June of Mineral, VA; three sisters, Barbara Dandridge, Margaret Anderson and Thelma Carter and husband Joseph of Mineral, VA. He is also survived by two uncles, Warren "Blue" Anderson of Montpelier,VA and Kenneth Anderson of Louisa,VA; four aunts, Corine Anderson, Arlean Anderson, Shirley Anderson and Clarrisa Anderson; two nieces, LaTanya Anderson and Stacey Mallory; two nephews, Travis Mallory and Donald S. Anderson; two great nieces, two great nephews and a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Thomasson Watson Chapel from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Gloria Yates Officiating.
Interment will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Mineral, VA.
