IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Reginald Jerome
Brunson
June 13, 1944 – September 16, 2018
Reginald "Transmission Magician" Jerome Brunson, 74, passed away September 16, 2018, at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, VA. He was born June 13, 1944 to the late Edward J. Brunson and Nettie Foster Brunson-Bell, in Philadelphia. PA. Reginald was the second of five children, preceded in death by his sister Joyce Garrison and brother Ronald Brunson. In 1984 he married Debra Ann Jones who preceded him in death. He was educated in the Philadelphia school system.
At the age of eighteen Reggie joined the United States Marine Corps and traveled the world serving his country. After his four year service in the Marine Corps, he returned to Philadelphia and to open his own transmission business. In 1987, after being a successful business owner for over twenty years, Reggie sold his business and moved to Louisa, Virginia where he resided the remainder of his life. Reggie loved the outdoors, wide open spaces, and the simpler things in life. He had many friends, socialized with people from all walks of life, had a gift for gab, loved to use his natural talents to create with his hands, and never passed up an opportunity to share first hand advice whether it was wanted or not. Those who knew him best understood that he didn't require much to be happy and how lending a helping hand to others brought such joy to his life.
Reggie leaves to cherish his memories: four children, Cherylnol, Carmella (Dale), Darrell, and Paul (Jennifer); two sisters, Sonya and Brenda; nephew, Keith (Robin); niece, Tina; eight grandchildren and a host of friends.
To honor the wishes of Reginald Brunson, there will not be a memorial service or a funeral. The family will celebrate his legacy at a later date.
