Raymond Lewis Anderson, son of the late Howard and Jessie Anderson, was born on March 21, 1943. He departed this life on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He joined church at an early age and became a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.
He attended Louisa County Public Schools, he was a graduate of Archie Gibbs Richardson High School. He was a pitcher for his school baseball team. He worked various jobs prior to working at Tyson Food, Inc. of Glen Allen, Virginia were he retired. Raymond was a fun loving person, he loved sports, especially baseball, wrestling and picthing horseshoes.
He was united in Holy Matrimony to Corine White and to this union, two children were born. He was preceded in death by two brothers; Richard and Howard Anderson.
He leaves to cherish in memory; his devoted and loving wife Corine; three sons, Raymond and wife Cecelia of Gordonsville, Virginia; Rodney and wife Brenda; and Mendell Brooks, he is also survived by one sister, Angie Mallory all of Mineral, Virginia; four brothers, Warren "Blue" Anderson and wife Arlene of Montpelier, Virginia; Walter and Kenneth Anderson of Louisa, Virginia and James Anderson and wife Hope; one sister-in-law; Christanna Sylvester; five grandchildren; Deante' and wife Charlotte, Brittany, Candice, Stephan and Kashawanda; one great grandchild, Andre; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Ebenezer Baptist Church 864 Pendleton Road Mineral, Virginia 23117 with the Rev. Roger M. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
