Raquan Markell Barber, 28 of Waynesboro, VA, departed this life on November 17, 2024.  He was born in Charlottesville, VA on June 5, 1996, to Kizzy Mills Rose and Jermaine Barber.  He graduated from Waynesboro High School in 2014. He loved to cook and held numerous jobs in the food service industry.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Franklin Bell and Lewis Mills, Jr.; great grandmother, Vivian Barber and Madeline James; great grandfather, Fred James; uncles, Marcus Mills and Delos Bell; great uncles, Arthur Mills and cousins, Tonya and Tara James.

Raquan leaves to cherish his memories: father, Jermaine/Natisha Barber; mother, Kizzy Mills Rose; grandmothers, Marilyn Felton and Crystal Barber; uncle, Lewis/Tina Mills; aunts, Angela/Darnell Sims, Tina/Ronnie Tucker, Sheronda Barber/Neil Jones and Gwendolyn Mills; brothers, Daquan/Bonnie Barber and Kevonta Mills; sisters, Lakendra Mills and Jaidyn Barber; honorary mentions  (best friends: Ja'won Gregory, Kenneth Gooti Joyner, Jordon Showers and Danglo Toiley). He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
