Randolph Palmer JR. (JR) was born on February 2, 1943 to the late Randolph Palmer Sr. and Maggie Elizabeth Smith Palmer of Northumberland County. He was the first of five children and one older half brother.

Randolph attended school in the Northumberland County area, Booker T. Washington, Anna T. Jean, and Julius Rosenward High School. He Joined First Baptist Church in Heathsville, Virginia at an early age. He then moved to Arlington, Virginia where he worked at a hospital and later joined The United States Army from 1968 to 1972. He served his country well during the Vietnam War.

After coming out of the Army, he started driving trucks. he drove tractor trailers for a local company until he started driving for Anheuse-Busch. He worked there until retirement 30 years later. Driving trucks was one of his passions.

He then met the love of his life, Antoinette Johnson, while working at Walmart
in 2002. Their friendship flourished into a life-long love as they married in 2015 surrounded by family and friends. Upon moving to Mineral, Viriginia Brother Palmer joined Orange Grove Baptist Church and served faithfully as an usher and later accepted a position to serve on the trustee board until his departure.

Randolph is survived by his wife, Antoinette Johnson Palmer, his twin daughters Elain and Evelyn Payne Palmer of Woodbridge, Virginia. His two sisters Annie Parker of Woodbridge, Virginia, and Brenda Terry (Jimmy) of Heathsville, Virginia. One brother Sherman Leroy Palmer (Linda) of Colonial Beach, VA. One granddaughter Ebony Payne of Woodbridge, VA. His brother-in-laws Craig, Shabar and sister-in-laws Lisa, Paulette, and Teresa. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.
