Raleigh David Jackson of Louisa, Virginia fell a sleep in death at his home on Friday, February 26, 2010.

Raleigh was born on September 29, 1955 at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. He was educated in the Madison County school system. He was employed at Bingham & Taylor in Culpeper Va for twenty years. Raleigh was a member of Second Robinson Primitive Baptist Church of Madison, VA.

Raleigh was a kind, caring, courteous, and generous person. He was willing to help anyone who needed it, Releigh also loved sports. Raleigh is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Jackson, two brothers James and William Jackson, and one sister Sara Conaway, and his father-in-law George Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of thirteen years Carol J. Jackson; three children, Jennifer Johnson, Michael and Michelle Scott; six grandchildren, Darius, D'shaun, D'Vonte, Denise, Danielle and Joshua; two brothers, Bobby Jackson (Joyce), and Elder Roland Jackson (Angie); nine sisters Delores Jones, Bernice Brown, Joanna McCarr, Frances Roy (Benjamin), Rosa Lee, Vera Jackson, Charlene Pollard, (Allen), Barbara McCoy, (Aubrey), and Minister Marian Jackson; three brothers-in-law, James(Tracy), Calvin Johnson(Lori), and Jerry Johnson(Phyllis); and one sister-in-law, Mary Morris. He will also be cherished by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel. There will be a second service at 2:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Madison, Virginia with interment to follow in Second Robinson Primitive Baptist Church Madison, VA.
