Parthenia Bates Holland, 85 of Louisa, Virginia died on Sunday, January 15, 2012, at Louisa Health Care Center in Louisa, Virginia .
Born Tuesday, November 9, 1926 in Kents Store, Virginia. She was the wife of the late George W. Holland,Sr.
She was a homemaker.
She was predeceased by sons, Michael Tyrone Holland, Charles McKenzie and sons-in-law, Philmore Gooch, and Kevin Morris.
Surviving are five sons, Rev. Ray McKenzie and wife Faith, Alan McKenzie and wife Barbara, Anthony Holland and wife Sarah, George W. Holland,Jr. and Darryl Holland and wife Nicky; daughters, Wendy Morris of Louisa, VA and Vicki Gooch of Louisa, VA; a devoted cousin, Christine Jackson; daughter-in-law, Annie Holland and a host of grands, great-grands, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012 at First Baptist Church, 102 Meadows Avenue Louisa,VA 23093 with Rev. Ray McKenzie officiating.
Interment will be in Holland Family Cemetery.
