Napoleon Julius "Sarge" Johnson, 61, of Hyattsville, Maryland, beloved husband of Marion A. Bishop Johnson, formerly of Louisa, Virginia, died Sunday, March 1, 2009, at a Riverdale, Maryland, Nursing Center.
The son of John Oliver Johnson and Tressie Burruss Johnson, he was born on April 28, 1947, in Louisa, Virginia. He was employed with Millstone Corporation in Maryland, as a warehouse manager.
His memories will be cherished by his wife, Marion A. Johnson; two sons, Aaron L. Johnson and Simeon Johnson; granddaughter, Brittany Johnson; mother, Tressie B. Johnson; sister, Dorothy Barrett; brothers, Milton L Johnson and his wife, Elaine, Robert J. Johnson, Arthur W. Johnson and his wife, Cindy; mother-in-law, Anna L. Bishop; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Shirley Walker and her husband, Elder James, Russell Bishop, Carolyn Bishop-Scott and her husband, Jerry, Donald Bishop, Guary Bishop, Charmane White and her husband, Reginald, and Charles Barrett; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, John O. Johnson; grandmother, Sally Burruss; and grandfather, Joseph Burruss; and his beloved sister, Shirley Barrett, who passed on Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009, at Thomasson Watson Funeral Chapel, 117 West Street, Louisa, Virginia. Interment will follow in the Johnson family cemetery, with Elder James Walker officiating.
