Nancy was born in Charlottesville, Virginia on January 18, 1957 to Ethel Kathleen Johnson and the late Wallace "June" Johnson.  She was a member of the Springfield Baptist Church.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Nancy and Thomas Washington and Carrie Tinsley Kenny and Wallace Johnson, Sr.

Nancy leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband, Cornell L. Johnson; one daughter, Krista Johnson of Troy, Virginia; one son, Brandon Johnson and his wife LaToya of Louisa, Virginia; two sisters:  Brenda Harrison and her husband, Frederick, and Gwendolph Christmas and her husband, Richard, all of Troy, Virginia; five grandchildren: Elijah Wilson-Johnson, Egypt Wilson-Johnson, Leonna Johnson, Laniya Johnson, and Londyn Johnson. Two sisters-in-law: Ethel Williams and Dale Lindsay and her husband, Jerome; a very devoted friend, Pat Henry; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Nancy served as Deputy Treasurer for the City of Charlottesville before her retirement in 2007 after 30 years of service.

Special thanks to the University of Virginia Hospital Staff (3 ^rd Floor), UVA TCH Hospital, and the Hospice of the Piedmont for all the special care provided during Nancy's hospitalization.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Daniel L. Watson, Sr. at Springfield Baptist Church, 1042 Zion Road, Gordonsville, VA 22942, at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 18, 2018. Interment will follow in the Washington Family Cemetery in Troy, Virginia.
