Moses Anthony Ragland , a renowned upholstery technician, died unexpectedly at the age of 61, at his home in Gordonsville, VA, on September 27, 2025.

He was the youngest son of the late Apostle Randolph Ragland and Elect Lady Ruth Winston Ragland.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Reginald Winston.

Moses was educated in the Louisa County school system where he learned his trade. He worked for various upholstery companies as well as owning his own business.

Moses was a avid guitar player. He also enjoyed buying/collecting motor vehicles, fishing and spending time with family. He grew up in, and was a lifelong member of, The House of God – Cobham.

He is survived by a daughter, Krystel Williams of Washington, DC; three sons, Jamal Quarles of Gordonsville, VA, Vance Ragland, and Mason Ragland of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren, Kendrick Williams and Ka'Mya Little.  He also leaves to cherish his memories seven sisters, LaVerne Coleman, Emily Watson (Jesse), Aretha Banks (Edward), Sheila White (Charles), June Robinson, Charlotte Bacon, and Rachel Churchman (James); four brothers, Apostle James Ragland (Jane), R. Wesley Ragland (Lois), Wallace Ragland (Brenda), and David Ragland (Darleen); and a very special friend and companion, Brenda Quarles.  He is also survived by an aunt, Flora Washington of Gordonsville, an uncle, George Ragland of Louisa, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sadly, a limb has fallen from our family tree.  Moses will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.  His passing was a stab in our hearts, where his memory will remain forever. He truly loved and was loved by his family.

Farewell services for Moses will be held on October 5, 2025, at the House of God, 5442 Columbia Road, Gordonsville, VA, at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.
