A Time to be Born

Minister Lawrence Odell Henson was born on April 27, 1953 to the late Lottie M. McCowin in Louisa, Virginia.

A Time to Love and Live

Minister Henson was a loving soul, a devoted Christian, and a teacher of God's Word. He was a devoted husband to Priscilla Henson, whom he married on June 15, 2000. He received his education in the Louisa County School System. He enlisted and joined the U.S. Army where he spent 20 years in service. He loved meditating on the Word and singing while outside maintaining the yard.

A Time to Serve

After returning home, he joined Galilee Baptist Church and was later ordained into the Ministry, where he preached the gospel. He later moved his membership to Free Union Gospel Church under the late Bishop John E. Marshall, where he taught Sunday School, led devotional and worship services, and preached the word of God.
