On January 21, 2007, Milton Alexander Hackney heard the voice of God say, "Step into your new life my son." Milton was the son of the late Alexander and Mary Emma Hackney, born December 18,1949 in Louisa, Virginia. Milton gave his heart to God and became a supportive member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church. He received his education in the Louisa County Public Schools and later relocated to Washington, D.C. in the early 1980's in order to pursue a better way of life. Among his many work experiences, his last employment was with the Ryan Corcoran Construction Company where he enjoyed a family relationship with his co-workers. He had a great love for trucks and did not avoid hard work. He leaves to cherish his memory one son, Ricky Lamont Johnson of Mineral, Virginia; two daughters Kelly Matesha Johnson of Mineral, Virginia and Katie Howard of Washington, D.C.; two sisters, Lucy Barney (Charles) and Gay Hackney both of Mineral, Virginia; a devoted life long friend Patricia Johnson of Mineral, Virginia; a devoted employer, Linda St. Pierre of Washington, D.C.; many nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Laurel Hill Baptist Church Mineral, Virginia with Rev. Barry Carpenter, officiating. Interment will follow in the Johnson Family Cemetery.
