Michael Anthony "Tony" Horton, 55 of Mineral, Virginia died on Monday, August 18, 2014, at his residence with his family at his side.

Born Monday, December 15, 1958 in Louisa, Virginia , he was the son of the late Lloyd and Gladys Thomas Horton. In additional to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister, Geraldine V. Hunter and father-in-law, George Hunter.

He was a graduate of Louisa County High School. He was a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. Tony enjoyed watching western movies, playing with and spoiling all of his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 32 years, Gale L. Horton; two daughters, Tasha Horton and Ciara M Seay and husband, Michael both of Louisa,VA; one son, Travis Hunter and wife, Tonya; seven grandchildren; Octavia, Derice, Zakayla, Elijah, Laymayia, Travis, Jr., and Jasiah. He also leaves to cherish his memory, his mother-in-law, Mary Hunter; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Davis and Mary Ann Hunter (Samuel) of Louisa; four brothers in law, Wayne Hunter, Kernal Hunter, Ricky Hunter and Harold Hunter (Dorothy), all of Louisa; two devoted friends, Samuel Shelton and Jerry Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.Saturday, August 23, 2014 at St. Thomas Baptist Church, 1567 Bumpass Road, Bumpass, VA 23024 with the Reverend Sharon Roberts officiating.
Interment will be in St. Thomas Baptist Church Cemetery, Bumpass, VA..
