Melvin C. Hayden, 59 of Louisa, VA departed this life on Monday, October 29, 2018 to be with the Lord.

He was born April 8 ^th , 1959 to the late McArthur and Veanetta Hayden.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Hayden.

He graduated from Goochland High School and was employed with Pleasant Hardware for 30+ years and then went on to MCV for 13 years.

His memories will be cherished by his devoted wife Rosetta Hayden, his daughter Brittney Hayden, granddaughter Maliyah.  Also left to cherish his memories, two brothers James Hayden (Lisa) of Staunton, Jerry Pace of Charlottesville, two sisters Theresa Richards (John) of Columbia and Jeanetta Holmes (Johnny) of Goochland.  A devoted mother-in-law Alma Price and Brother-in-laws Morton Price (Clarissa) and Grayling Price (Margaret) both of Louisa and Tyrone Price of Prince George. Sister-in-law Janice Hayden-Slyngard Three aunts Ethleean Pace (Joseph) of Goochland, Mary Logan of Staunton and Edna Athy of Richmond, a devoted cousin Eugene Pace and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018 at County Line Baptist Church 4070 County Line Road Kents Store, Virginia 23084
with Rev. Wesley Tolliver, Officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
