A TIME TO BE BORN

Melissa Ann (Holt) Anderson , our loved one, a kind, nurturing, loving, and compassionate person opened the book of her life on March 7th, 1968.

A TIME FOR EVERY PURPOSE  UNDER THE HEAVEN

Melissa received her GED and continued her education at Piedmont Virginia Community College, Charlottesville,VA to become a Registered Nurse.  Her nursing career was spent primarily at Elder Care Gardens, Charlottesville, VA.  Melissa was blessed to spend quality time assisting with raising her oldest grandchildren, Avery and Jaylynn, after the death of her daughter Ashley.

A TIME TO DIE

Melissa went to her eternal rest on Saturday, July 20th, 2024, at the Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, VA.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara (Hill) Holt and Alfred Holt, and her daughter, Ashley Nicole Quarles (Kevin and Betty Johnson).

A TIME TO MOURN

Melissa leaves to cherish her memory: her brother, Michael Alfred Holt (Michelle) of Louisa, VA; her son, Dominque Michael Anderson (Saunders and Julie) of Asheville, NC; her grandchildren, Avery National and Jaylynn Nicole Quarles (Ashley and Joseph) of Louisa, VA; Lilly Grace Adams (Dominque) of Asheville, NC, and Legacy Dior Anderson (Dominque) of Fredericksburg, VA; her grandchildren-in-love, Ja'King Latrell and Royalty Ciana Nibblins (Alexis Albert) of Fredericksburg, VA; and one nephew, Jamari Mykel Holt (Michael and Missy). She also leaves her friend and caretaker, Onealius Clark, of Louisa, VA (who was with her at the time of her transition), and a host of devoted cousins, other relatives, and friends who were so important to her.

A TIME TO HEAL

A limb has fallen from the family tree.

I keep hearing a voice that says, "Grieve not for me.

Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.

The good life I lived while I was strong.

Continue my heritage,

I'm counting you.

Keep smiling and surely

The sun will shine through.

My mind is at ease,

My soul is at rest.

Remember all, how I truly was blessed.

Continue traditions,

No matter how small.

Go on with your life.

Don't worry about falls.

I miss you all dearly, so keep up your chin

Until the day comes, we're together again."

"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:"

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (KJV)
