Mary Marie Houchens was born on July 14, 1940 to the late Marie R Houchens. Mary attended A.G. Richardson school. She worked at Louisa Manufactory for a number of years. She joined Rising Sun Baptist church at an early age.
In her spare time Mary enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and having family functions where she had fun dancing.

Mary was proceeded in death by her mother Marie R Houchens and brothers Elijah, Paul, Silas, Leroy Houchens, and a host of uncles and aunts.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters Alfreda Morris (Ron) of Richmond VA, Arlene Houchens (Mike), Linda Houchens (Nelson Johnson) of Louisa, Sheila Houchens of Charlottesville VA. Sons Jerry Houchens( Norine) of Richmond, Charles Houchens of Louisa, and Lance Houchens (Macumba) of Louisa 16 grand children and a host of great and great great grand children.

Viewing will be held on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 4-7pm in The Sun Chapel.

Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Rising Sun Baptist Church Cemetery.
