Mary Elizabeth Dandridge entered into eternal rest on Monday, January 20, 2020 at her residence in Henrico, VA. She was born on July 13, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA to Alice Thomas and Frederick Evans.

She was a 1956 graduate of Germantown High School in Philadelphia, PA.

In 1957, she united into holy matrimony to the Archie Fleming Dandridge Jr. To this union, two children were born.

In 1975, Mary became a member of Christ-like Baptist Church in Philadelphia under the leadership of Reverend Robert Smalls. She served on the Usher Ministry for over 35 years. In 1985, she became the President of the Usher Ministry. She was serious about ushering people into the Worship Service for the Lord. Often, she would attend the second Sunday Service and perform her usher duties. She loved the Lord and it was apparent.

Mary was such a loving person. If you ever were in her presence, you would be in love with her before you leave. Even in the midst of any situation, she could bring a smile to your face. She would hold a conversation for an hour with a stranger as well as a dear friend.

Cherishing the memories of their loved one are: two children, Donna Dandridge and Rickie Dandridge; one sister, Louise Thomas Welch; five sisters-in-law, Ruth Dandridge, Vernel Dandridge, Mary Eva Matthews (Mervin), Iola Dandridge and Gloria Dandridge and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
