Mary Jane Anderson, affectionately known as "Grandma Mary", passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021, at her home in Gordonsville, Virginia surrounded by her loves, at the age of eighty-three. She was a loving and caring mother of eight children, a grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Mary Jane maintained her pride and dignity to the very end.

Mary Jane was born to the late Annie Alice Jones Walker and Robert White of Louisa, Virginia on April 16, 1937 in Louisa, Virginia. She was raised by her mother and the late Emmett Isaiah Walker, Sr.

At an early age, Mary Jane accepted the Lord Jesus as her savior and joined Peach Grove Baptist Church in Louisa, Virginia. She was a member of the Senior Choir and attended faithfully until her health declined.

Mary Jane received her formal education at the Louisa Training School.  She married the love of her life the late, Allen Rudolph Anderson.  She held various positions at Spring Garden Cleaner, Woolfolk Manufacturer, Liberty Fabrics, and her final job was at the Gordon House Nursing Home until her health started to decline at the age of eighty.

In Mary Jane's eighty-three years, she was privileged to cruise to various countries, enjoying vacations, family events and spending time with her children and grands.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Annie Alice Jones Walker and Emmett Isaiah Walker, Sr.; one brother, Emmett Isaiah Walker, Jr.; three sisters, Alice K. Jones, Isabelle B. Walker and Lucy E. Walker; one sister-in-law, Elsie Shelton and one son-in-law, Gary D Bullock.

Mary Jane leaves to cherish her memory, four sons, Allen L. Walker, Sr. (Cecelia), Carlton M. Anderson, Clyde R. Anderson, Sr. (Shannon) and  Floyd O. Anderson, Sr. (Phyllis); four daughters, Marcella W. Bullock, Patricia M. Keeton (Xavier), Peggy D. Anderson and Stacie C. Anderson; granddaughter, Kenyetta Monroe; twenty-two additional grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren; one brother, Thomas E. Walker (Debbie), and special friend, Annie L. Howard Burrell. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2021 at Spring Grove Memorial Cemetery.

Our Mother, Grandma Mary, will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her now and forever!
