Martha EdDora Williams Coleman, peacefully answered the call of her Heavenly Father and gracefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 4, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Ethel Williams, born on March 14, 1921 in Bumpass, Virginia. Her education was received in the Louisa County School System. She was baptized at an early age at Mt. Garland Baptist Church, loved the Lord, and loved attending her church. Mrs. Coleman was a homemaker, a kindhearted woman with a very beautiful smile and sweet spirit. Her hobbies were cooking and working in her flower garden. She was married to the late Irvin Coleman, and from this union, seven children were born. She leaves to cherish and rejoice in her memory, five sons, Aulton W., Jessie B., John D., Herman R., Alonzo I. (Florence) Coleman; two daughters, Gloria J. Coleman and Deborah C. French (Wilbert); three grandchildren, David Wattie, Cheritta Maye and Erika Coleman; five great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Julie and Jayla Westbrook, Jaheim Maye and Raven Wattie. Her memory will also be treasured by four sisters, Lucille Moody, Mary Perkins, Alice Johnson and Addie Medina; three brothers, Bert, Fred and Marvin Williams; one brother-in-law, James Johnson, Sr.; one godson, Kincaid Coleman; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Mt. Garland Baptist Church in Bumpass, Virginia, and interment in the church cemetery, with Rev. Floyd Roane officiating.
