Mark Mckinley Hughes, Jr., known to his family as "Boo Boo" passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019, at the age of 42. He was of Christian faith and was Christened at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Oxon Hill, Maryland.

At the age of 18, he began his career with the US Postal Service where he worked for 15 years in various roles advancing his career and proving his strong work ethic. Over the past 10 years, he took on roles at GSA and FDA where he was destined for greatness. While working, he attended UMUC and received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration.

Mark loved to collect and trade baseball cards, fish, hunt, ride his Harley, rebuild dirt bikes and four wheelers and became quite the handy man around the house. If anything was broken, he tried to fix it. Mark had an enormous heart and loved to give. He was a true family man and loved spending all of his time with his family, especially his kids. He also loved his dogs, chickens and guinea keets. Mark will be remembered mostly by
his smile, bear hugs, laugh, jokes, walk, cough and being a huge Redskins fan.

He is survived by his father, Mark Hughes Sr. (Priscilla), mother, Pamela Hughes, wife,children Mark III, Ryan and Gabriella, Grandmother (Mary Hughes "Nana"), Sisters and Brothers, Melissa (Cross), Martin, Matthew (Shanetta), Maria and Marcus (Biancca), Uncles, Johnnie and Gregory, Aunts, Charlene, Kim and Dee Dee, Nieces, Brooklyn, Marleigh, Malina and Meyonna, Nephews, Mekhi, AJ and Mason and numerous cousins.
Mark will also be remembered by his life-long best friend and cousin Michael Hunter. Mark is preceded in death by Grandmother Katherine Penny, Grandfather Thomas Brown and his beloved Uncle Lennie
