Marie Louise Davis, 68 of Louisa, Virginia died on Friday, July 31, 2015, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia . Born Saturday, July 19, 1947 in Louisa, Virginia, Marie was the daughter of the late Howard Samuel and Rebecca Cushenberry Hunter. She was the wife of Ruby Davis,Jr. Marie was preceded in death by by two brothers, William Lewis and John Hunter; two sisters, Marion and Helen Mae Hunter, and one nephew, Calvin Roni Henson. She attended Louisa County Public Schools and was a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Carlton Davis of Fluvanna, VA and Tony Davis (Rachel) of Los Angeles, CA; one granddaughter, Shelby Boulay; great grandson, Jayelin Davis; three brothers, Howard Hunter (Willie), Thomas Hunter (Rosetta) and Bishop Linwood Sawyer (Yvonne); two sisters, Dorothy Desper and Fannie Shelton (George); one aunt, Martha Shelton; one uncle, Phillip Mickens; one brother-in-law, Arthur L. Davis, Sr.; three sisters-in-law, Alice Robinson (William), Bessie Holland and Ernestine Hancock-Gist and an abundance of nieces, nephewa and devoted friends. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Rising Sun Baptist Church, 6829 Fredericks Hall Road, Mineral, VA 23117. Interment will follow in the Eagle Baptist Church, Louisa.
