Mable Johnson Smith, born on July 12, 1941, in Louisa, VA, USA, was a loving, compassionate soul whose light touched every life she encountered. Her dedication and smart wit were her signature traits, as was her knack for creating a sense of home no matter where she resided. Mable's journey led her from Louisa to Henrico, Virginia, where she lived for 21 years, before her restful departure on May 22, 2026.

As a devoted laborer in the domestic business, Mable's dedication shone through in her work just as brightly as it did in her personal life. When she wasn't working, Mable was a passionate home-keeper, her hobbies reflecting her love for her family and home. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, and reading - activities that added warmth to her home and hearts of her loved ones. Mable's delightful conversations over the phone with her siblings were testimony to her loving nature and deep-rooted family values.

Mable's life was a living testament to the verse from the Bible, "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins." (1 Peter 4:8). Her love and dedication to her family was her greatest achievement. She is survived by her daughter, Donna D. Derricott, son-in-law Tony D. Derricott, daughter Daisy M. Sears, son Henry A. Smith Jr., daughter-in-law Keewanda L. Smith, granddaughter Shannon Derricott, and Her spirit reunites with her beloved husband, Henry A Smith Sr. her parents, Daisy and Thomas Johnson, and her daughter Deidra E.Smith, who all preceded her in death.

Mable Johnson Smith's life was a story beautifully told through her love, compassion, and dedication. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of the many lives she touched. We invite family and friends to share their memories and upload photos of Mable to the memorial page to celebrate her wonderful life.
